Randy Navarre (composer)
This composition opens with a timpani solo, adding the snare drum, developing into a full-blown fanfare. After the opening fanfare, the composition starts softly and builds with strong melodies. There are slow pretty sections and strong dissonant parts the build to a final climax with the return of the fanfare and the swirling woodwinds and solo timpanist bring the composition to its final conclusion. “Life’s Triumph” are they synonyms that best describe this work.
