"Boardwalk" was composed in 2003 for the Ocean City Pops Orchestra?s 75th anniversary season. Modeled after Bernstein?s "Overture to Candide", "Boardwalk" pays homage to the energetic and tuneful music of one of America?s most popular composers. While I was writing this music I frequently found myself reminiscing about my childhood expeditions with my grandparents to the magical boardwalks of the Jersey shore.
