Martin Kennedy’s PULL PIN AND THROW is a propulsive concerto in one movement that starts with a bang and never lets up! Scored for tenor and alto trombone soloist with orchestra, the solo writing is as rewarding as it is demanding, soaring over Kennedy’s vibrant, jittery textures in fascinating and unexpected ways. The piano reduction, carefully crafted by the composer, is fully suited to recital performance, as well as for preparation to perform the work with orchestra.
