Quick Overview

These four short and clever pieces will help teachers and students deal with those unfortunate moments, usually due to injury, when both hands are not available for playing. Alright and Cold Shoulder (written for a student with a dislocated left shoulder), use only the right hand while Jamaica Mistake and Underhanded were originally designed for the left. Alternate fingerings are provided so that the pieces can be performed using either hand or even both hands. The music has the rhythmic verve and liveliness that are customary in Mr. Sheftel's original music, even in its simplest examples. These pieces will certainly be fun to play and to teach.
