Trevor Wye is the author of the famous Practice Books for flute, which have received worldwide acclaim and translation into 11 languages. In addition, he is an active freelance orchestral and chamber music player in London. Founder of the British Flute Society, Wye also founded the International Summer School at Sarah Lawrence College in 1969; the world’s largest flute summer camp, and served as its director until 1988. In 1990, Wye was made an honorary fellow of the Royal Northern College of Music and in 2011, was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the National Flute Association.
