The Flute Scale BookKing of Prussia, PA – Theodore Presser Company proudly announces the release of The Flute Scale Book: A Path to Artistry (414-41206 — $24.95), a perfect companion to Flute 101: Mastering the Basics (414-41200). This book includes the teacher's and performer's dream list of scale studies. Once players learn the scales, there is a chapter detailing what to do, musically, with the notes once they have been learned. Also included are practice guides, featuring hundreds of rhythms and articulation patterns, allowing players to practice any group of six or eight notes, as well as sample practice plans which provide an organized curriculum with weekly practice suggestions. The Flute Scale Book is designed for a lifetime of use, with embouchure development and scale exercises perfect for younger players, as well as more advanced exercises for professional players, including audition scales, phrasing studies, major and minor scales, thirds, arpeggios, seventh chords, modal scales, chromatic intervals, tonguing exercises and more, extended to D4 and beyond. In short, every flutist will benefit greatly from this comprehensive method.
