King of Prussia, PA – Theodore Presser Company is pleased to announce the recent publication of the piano reduction version of Narong Prangcharoen’s Maha Mantras (114-41598 - Score & Part - $19.99), a concerto for saxophone (alto and soprano) and orchestra. Theodore Presser Company signed several works for orchestra and wind ensemble from Narong Prangcharoen in Summer 2013, acting as the exclusive publisher for Mr. Prangcharoen’s works.
To add to Mr. Prangcharoen’s list of achievements, on August 27, 2013 he was awarded the 2013 Barlow Prize, worth $15,000, by the Barlow Endowment for Music Composition at Brigham Young University, to compose a major new work for wind ensemble.

The music of Thai composer Narong Prangcharoen has been called "absolutely captivating" (Chicago Sun Times). He is the founder of the Thailand International Composition Festival, now entering its tenth year. Prangcharoen is now composer in residence for the Pacific Symphony in Orange County, California, for the next three seasons under the Music Alive program of the League of American Orchestras and New Music USA.
