Editions Orph?e here releases six excellent examples of de Fossa's penchant for transforming chamber works into guitar duos. While the source material, Enrique Ataide y Portugal's string quartets, may be virtually unknown, the de Fossa duo transcriptions should be embraced by the classical guitar world as important "new" entries to the repertoire.
